Here's a weekly update on the status of the club:
The pool has been filled, tables and chairs are out and spaced apart to meet social distancing requirements. We are still awaiting guidance from the governor on when swimming will be permitted.
The tennis courts are available for play from 8:00 am to 10:00pm. The lights have been painted and are now fully functioning. Special thanks to Joe Baldoni, Chris Braine and Mark Littler who worked tirelessly and doggedly for several weekends to restore the lights to their former glory, which in this case, simply means shining enough light upon the courts so people can spot a tennis ball with enough warning to hit it back over the net long after the sun has called it a day. To reserve time, you can make a reservation here at CSTC Tennis & Pickleball Reservations.
The two pickleball courts are lined on court 3 and the nets, paddles and balls which were ordered on 5/30 are scheduled to arrive on 6/8. The courts will be availble for reservations and play beginning on Tuesday, 6/9.
Membership voted to approve a board proposal to replace the broken hot water system and work will commence in the coming weeks.
Cleanup and maintenance work is ongoing and the board wishes to sincerely thank all the members who volunteered their time and hard work last weekend. We had a strong turnout and your efforts are greatly, greatly appreciated! Volunteers would also be appreciated this weekend as we make the final push to get all of the immediate work completed so the club is ready to go in anticipation of a late June/early July opening of the pool to swimmers.
